Our Photography Tour in brief:
Just outside of Stockholm you are stepping into a world of serene nature, seemingly untouched by civilization - a cluster of more than 30.000 islands that create an incredible scenery and together compose the one of the largest archipelagoes in the world. Each single of those islands with its own unique charm, it's own story to tell!
Join me on this unforgettable photography adventure that will take you to to some of the most scenic islands in Stockholm’s Archipelago - dramatic coastlines, charming villages and magnificent lighthouses are waiting to be captured in stunning images!
For four days (incl. three nights), we will explore and photograph spectacular islands like Landsort (Öja) and Nåttarö in the southern archipelago. These islands have everything that you can dream of as photographer - from rugged coastlines and dramatic seascapes, to mystical forests and picturesque fishing villages. In a small group of photography enthusiasts, we will visit the best photo locations on the islands and you will learn how to create outstanding photos. I am sure you will be astonished and inspired by the scenic beauty of these places!
We will take advantage of the most beautiful light and mainly photograph in the mornings and in the evenings. During the day, we have time to edit our photos and I will show you how to get the most out of them in just a few steps.
Together we will improve your photography skills and you will be able to create your own stories through photos that speak for themselves. I make sure that you will have an unforgettable photography experience and go home with the feeling to have learned something new!
Itinerary:
Day 1 - Arrival day
In the afternoon, we will meet at our charming hotel Nynäs Havsbad, located in the center of Nynäshamn (just 1,7km from the train station). Nynäshamn is located approx. 60km south of Stockholm and you can reach the city by car or train (pick up in Stockholm City can be booked optionally).
On this first day, I will give a short introduction about the manual camera settings and ideas for compositions in landscape photography. We will have dinner together, talk about the plans for the photo tour and share other important information. If time allows, we might head out and use the warm evening light to capture the sunset at the coastline close to Nynäshamn.
Days 2-3 - Exploring and photographing Stockholm’s Archipelago
On the next 2 days, we will explore and photograph the most scenic spots on Landsort (Öja) and Nåttarö in the southern archipelago. Rugged coastlines, mystical forests and picturesque fishing villages are waiting to be captured in stunning images!
Our accommodations in Nynäshamn will be the base for our exploration and we will head out to the islands in the early mornings to have enough time to explore the best photo spots. If we are lucky, we will be able to spot seals from the boat or even the majestic sea eagle patrolling the coastline from the sky!
We will plan each day dependent on the weather, but be prepared to be outdoors from sunrise till sunset. There is a list of locations we want to visit during the trip, but we won't have a fixed itinerary to be able to give you the best possible experience. Of course I will be available for any questions during the whole trip!
On our last evening of the photo tour, we will have our farewell dinner together as a group and have the possibility to discuss your achievements of the trip.
Day 4 - Departure day
On the last day, we might have the chance to use the morning for a photo shooting in one of the nearby nature reserves. After that, we will conclude the photo tour around lunch time.
