Location
This Nature Photography Walk takes place in the southern part of Djurgården (“Södra Djurgården”) in Stockholm City.
Just a kilometer from central Stockholm, we will find the green oasis of Djurgården with its rich flora and fauna and lots of interesting subjects to photograph! Djurgården has a long story to tell, from the times when it was exclusively used for hunting and recreation by the Swedish kings to becoming the world’s first protected city park which is now known as Royal National City Park.
Thanks to the protection, the park offers an incredibly diverse nature with 100 species of breeding birds as well as 800 varieties of flowering plants. Djurgården is also home to some of the oldest oak trees in Sweden, dating back hundreds of years. when they were grown to be used for the royal ships. Those unique ancient giants make great subjects for your nature photography!
If we are lucky, we will even encounter wild animals like deer, hare or fox that live in the area.
Meeting point
We will meet at the entrance of Södra Djurgården, the blue gate (“Blå Porten”) right on the southern side of the bridge to Djurgården (“Djurgårdsbron”).

“I literally couldn’t suggest this experience more!! Julien was extremely professional and passionate about photography and passing on his expertise. He spent time getting to know exactly what I was interested in learning and gave me some tips about how to utilize my iPhone camera settings to improve the focus, clarity and composition of my images. I also really appreciated that he was very quick to communicate with, always ready to help and the fact that we planned out the experience together, which I didn’t take for granted. He made me feel very relaxed and in good hands before the trip even started. He was just the nicest person I could find! Please trust his suggestions, as he knows the city very well and the best spots. I highly recommend Julien if you are interested in learning about photography and about Stockholm at the same time. Cheers for a brand new friendship and thanks again for everything :)”
