Öland - The Island of Sun and Wind.

Öland offers an incredibly diverse landscape like no other in Sweden. In the southern part you will find an unique agricultural landscape called “the Great Alvar” which is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site - this vast and barren area consisting of sparse grassland vegetation makes you feel being in the African savanna. The eastern shore is dominated by “the Stone Coast” filled with fascinating sights like picturesque fishing villages, limestone sea stacks and unique windmills. At the north-eastern end you will be enchanted by an old, mystical forest with narrow paths leading through ancient oak trees and windswept pine trees.

This island is truly a hidden gem for landscape photography!
